Hello!
My name is Marissa Lowe and I am from Long Island, NY. I am currently a Junior at SUNY Oneonta planning to graduate in May 2024. My major is Fashion and Textiles with a concentration in Merchandising. After graduation, I plan to build experience in the industry through various internships and jobs to reach my goal of becoming a buyer.
While studying at SUNY Oneonta, I have gained knowledge of many parts of the industry and what it has to offer. I have also developed technical skills in software such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. On campus, I am involved in the Revival of Apparel Club and volunteer weekly at the student-run thrift store, Red Closet Thrift Shop.
Over the past couple of years, I have attained experience in the fashion industry. My experience as a retail associate and the knowledge I have gained from my recent internship has provided me with a rounded set of skills. This includes customer service, teamwork and collaboration, organization, responsibility and interpersonal skills.
I am eager to further explore the fashion industry and all it has to offer!
